Check with a specialist
Indicative quantities for a basecoat + topcoat build-up. Consumption rates are provisional; final figures depend on the substrate, the texture and the number of sealer coats.
What the system consists of

Four layers, two to three millimetres

01

2K PU Primer

Two-component polyurethane, 5 kg set. Binds dust and regulates absorbency so the basecoat bonds evenly.

02

Basecoat

15 kg pail. The first, coarser layer with fine sand — builds the surface and levels minor irregularities.

03

Topcoat + pigment

15 kg pail, tinted with water-based pigment (100 g bottles). Carries the colour and the trowel texture.

04

Acrylic sealer

One-component, 5 kg canister. Two coats set the cleanability; three in wet areas, where the sealer keeps the water out.

FAQ

Before you order

Can it go straight over tiles?+

Yes, if the tiles are sound and well bonded. They are primed and the joints filled with levelling compound first, so the grout lines do not read through the finished surface.

What makes the wet-area system different?+

Waterproofing beneath the coating and three acrylic sealer coats above it instead of two. The microcement itself is the same material; the build-up around it is what makes the surface suitable for a shower.

How exact are the colours on screen?+

Treat them as a guide. The pigment is dosed into the mix on site, so the trowelled surface always carries some variation. Order a sample before committing to a colour.

Is it suitable for underfloor heating?+

Yes. The coating is thin and stays flexible, so it follows the movement of a heated screed. The heating is switched off during application and brought back up gradually afterwards.
